Fitzgibbon Joins Ohio Chamber as Director, Ohio Small Business Council

COLUMBUS, OH – William M. Fitzgibbon of Columbus joins the Ohio Chamber of Commerce as Director of the Ohio Small Business Council effective March 17. Fitzgibbon’s duties include advocating on behalf of the Chamber’s small business members and on health care policy issues.

Fitzgibbon received his bachelor of arts degree in economics from The Ohio State University. Prior to joining the Chamber, Fitzgibbon was employed as a legislative aide to State Representative Mike Gilb, where he assisted in the research, drafting and introduction of legislation, and also handled constituent inquiries and cases. He has also worked as a claims representative for State Farm Insurance and as an assistant in the marketing department at The Ohio State University.

"William’s experience in both the private sector and the state legislature adds a new dimension to our efforts on behalf of small businesses," said Linda Woggon, vice president, governmental affairs. “We are especially excited about the strong political skills he will bring to our grass roots program.”

Founded in 1893, the Ohio Chamber of Commerce is Ohio's largest statewide business advocacy group. The Chamber works to promote and protect the interests of its members - large and small - while building a more favorable Ohio business climate.
