Important
Tax Issues
COLUMBUS,
OH -- An upcoming conference, sponsored by the Ohio Chamber
of Commerce and the Ohio Department of Taxation, promises to help
business tax managers track changing tax laws and minimize their
tax burden.
The 9th Annual
Ohio Tax Conference, scheduled for Jan. 19 and 20 at the Hyatt Regency
Columbus, will provide the most timely information available on
state and local taxation issues, including a look at the latest
court decisions and agency rulings affecting Ohio business taxpayers.
The conference
features Ohio's premier tax experts, including Ohio Tax Commissioner
Tom Zaino -- the featured luncheon speaker on Jan. 19. Zaino will
discuss his new initiatives and expected changes that are ahead
for the Ohio Department of Taxation. Senior officials from the department
will also be on hand throughout the conference to discuss specific
tax issues.
Conference
workshops will explore what impact electric restructuring will have
on taxes, and review the latest developments in tax incentive programs,
the unclaimed funds laws, municipal income tax reform, personal
property tax, franchise tax and more.
For more information,
or to register, call the Manufacturers' Education Council (MEC)
at (614) 229-7990. Or visit the MEC
Web site for complete details on the conference.
