After much debate in the House and Senate
and a Conference Committee, HB 405, the Budget Correction Bill,
DID NOT contain any new business taxes as originally proposed by Governor
Taft to the tune of $465 million. These proposed taxes were struck from
HB 405 thanks to a team effort between our staff, in particular
Director of Taxation & Public Finance Dan Navin, and our members.
