Supporting Chamber Choice Candidates

During each election cycle, OCCPaC targets legislative districts where there's a clear difference between candidates, and the pro-business candidate needs the business community's support to win. A select number of these General Assembly candidates win "Chamber Choice" designation.

Chamber Choice selections are based on legislative voting records, candidate questionnaires, political viability and local business community support.

Since the inception of the program in 1994, more than 70 percent of the candidates targeted using P.a.C.E. data - in some of the toughest races in Ohio - have been elected. These legislators have consistently had better voting records on business issues than the average legislator elected without Ohio Chamber support.

Since close margins decide many of these races, OCCPaC support clearly plays a critical role in shaping the composition of the Ohio General Assembly. The pro-business votes of elected Chamber Choice candidates have made a difference for your business.
