Authorizes a non-refundable tax credit up to $2,400 per person against the dealers in intangibles, domestic and foreign insurance, corporation franchise and personal income taxes for companies that hire previously unemployed individuals and utilize the electronic employment verification system called "E-Verify". |

He told the committee his bill only applies if the unemployed person who is hired has wages equal to or above the average monthly unemployment benefit and remains hired for 24 months. Sen. Dale Miller questioned the impact of the bill on the state GRF and budget and contended it would not affect or change the behavior of employers. |
